Interscholastic Sports

Bethel Middle School is fortunate to offer several interscholastic sports to our student body. Timeline of seasons are as follows:

Fall

Boy’s and Girl’s Cross Country

Girl’s Field Hockey

Winter

Boy’s and Girl’s Basketball

Spring

Boy’s and Girl’s Track & Field

Girl’s Softball

Boy’s Baseball

In order to participate and/or try-out the following steps should be followed:

All athletes need a yearly physical. Athletes should check with the nurse on their most current physical. Before the start of each season a parent/guardian must fill out the emergency information form (located on the BMS website under BMS Parent and Student Resources in Forms or BMS Athletics, Clubs and Activities in Athletics Forms). If the athlete has an updated physical the nurse will then sign the emergency form.

Once the emergency information form is signed by the nurse a pay-to-participate fee must be paid to the main office. When the fee is paid, the secretary will stamp the emergency form PAID. If the athlete does not make the team the money will be returned to the athlete after try-outs.

The secretary will give all emergency forms to the coach for the first day of try-outs and/or practice. Athletes who do not have the emergency form signed by the nurse and stamped PAID by the main office will not be allowed to participate until all requirements are completed.
